PRESTIGE CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP – LONGMONT, “DODGING THE TRUTH!”

If I hadn’t witnessed this story and verified it and hadn’t been directly involved, I would have never believed it!  Based on how this dealer handled this case, Prestige Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Longmont should be avoided!

It all started when Mike Atencio bought a brand new 60-thousand dollar, 2016 Dodge Ram 3500 truck from these clowns.  It was the fifth truck he bought from them.  So you’d think they’d treat him right … no way!  After just 4000-miles his warranty was canceled by Chrysler.  The reason for the cancellation will astound you.

At around 4,000 miles Mike’s pinion seal started leaking (the pinion seal is located where the axle meets the transfer case).  He took it to Prestige Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep in Longmont, where he had bought it. But they refused to fix it under warranty.

Mike was upset and took the issue to social media!  He was upset that a dealer would treat a faithful customer this way.  The dealer stood fast in its decision.  Prestige claimed the pinion seal was ruined because of a road hazard.

In his frustration, Mike took his new truck to another Dodge dealer and they fixed it, presumably under warranty.  But then that other dealer got a big surprise!  Chrysler denied it because the truck was placed on  “warranty restriction”.  Say what?

IN OTHER WORDS THE WARRANTY ON THE TURCK HAD BEEN VOIDED!  BUT WHY?

Turns out Prestige got pissed off at Mike for posting bad reviews so they called the factory to cancel his warranty!

After Mike called my radio show for help, we got Chrysler involved.  They dispatched factory technicians to investigate and concluded the pinion seal WAS DEFECTIVE FROM THE FACTORY!

CONCLUSION

Chrysler paid for the repair and immediately lifted the warranty restriction. They also offered Mike (the consumer) an 75-thousand mile extended service agreement that covers even regular oil changes and maintenance!

Prestige Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Longmont handled this case so totally “off the wall” that I would never set foot on their lot to buy a vehicle or get one serviced!  And to think …  the original repair would’ve only cost Prestige around $200!  Morons.
