This page is the deal if you use the site, send a report, or are named in a file. It is not legal advice. We are not your lawyers.<\/p>\n<h2>What this site is<\/h2>\n<p>This is an editorial consumer site. Files are based on complaints we receive, follow-up we choose to do, and the reporter\u2019s own account of what happened to them. A listing is not a court finding. It is not a statement that a crime was committed. It is other people\u2019s experience, our reporting, and our opinion about whether the public should be careful.<\/p>\n<p>We investigate when we can. We do not promise we talked to every side, saw every document, or got every fact right. Stories can be incomplete. People lie. Businesses hide. We may update, correct, or take down a file when we decide the record changed.<\/p>\n<h2>If you send a report<\/h2>\n<p>You agree that what you send is true to the best of your knowledge. You will not invent damage, puff dollar amounts, guess at crimes, or use this site to settle a private score. You are responsible for your words. If you submit a false, misleading, or malicious report, that is on you, not on Sleaze Brigade, Tom Martino, Marc Mager, the Troubleshooter Network, or anyone who helps run this site.<\/p>\n<p>You give us permission to review the report, keep it, use it for a file or a broadcast, contact you, and contact the other side. Sending a form does not mean we will publish. We can refuse, edit, hold, or kill a report for any reason.<\/p>\n<h2>If you are named in a file<\/h2>\n<p>A file is commentary and consumer reporting, not a paid advertisement about you and not a legal judgment. If you think something is wrong, contact us with facts, documents, and a straight account. We may update the file. We are not required to remove a lawful report of a real consumer dispute just because you dislike it.<\/p>\n<p>Do not threaten us, the reporter, or other readers. Do not scrape the site to build a harassment list. If you have a lawyer, have them write. We will look at a concrete error. We will not take dictation.<\/p>\n<h2>Opinions, quotes, and photos<\/h2>\n<p>Headlines, labels, category names, and our notes are opinion. Quoted complaints belong to the people who made them. Photos and documents are provided by reporters or published as illustration. We do not warrant that a photo, invoice, or text thread is authentic.<\/p>\n<h2>No professional relationship<\/h2>\n<p>Using this site or filling out Get Help \/ Report a Ripoff does not create an attorney-client relationship, a fiduciary duty, or a promise we will recover money. Results described elsewhere on the site, including recoveries tied to the Troubleshooter Show, are historical and not a guarantee of what happens in your matter.<\/p>\n<h2>Limitation of liability<\/h2>\n<p>The site is provided as-is. To the fullest extent the law allows, Sleaze Brigade, the Troubleshooter Network, Tom Martino, Marc Mager, and their contractors are not liable for lost business, lost profits, reputational harm, or other damages that come from reading a file, being named in a file, or relying on a report someone else sent in. If a court says some part of this page cannot apply, the rest still does.<\/p>\n<h2>Your indemnity<\/h2>\n<p>If you submit a report or post material and that leads to a claim against us, you will cover the reasonable cost of defending it to the extent the claim comes from your false or unlawful submission.<\/p>\n<h2>Privacy in brief<\/h2>\n<p>Reports include names, phone numbers, emails, and documents. We use that to investigate and to follow up. We do not sell your complaint as a mailing list.
